Fratton
The Pompey

Fratton has undergone some major changes in the last year, the old goods yard
has now become an industrial estate and B&Q have built one of the largest DIY
stores on the south coast here.
- The Fratton area includes:
- McDonalds.
- B&Q.
- The Bridge Centre (Asda Shop + more)
- Fratton Park - The Home of Football (well the Portsmouth
Football Club).
- St Mary's Hospital. One of the UK's finest children's hospitals.
- St Mary's Church. As big as a Cathedral but only a church?
- Portsmouth's Prison.
- Access:
- Train. Portsmouth - Waterloo line.
- Eastern Road.
- London Road from North End.
- Goldsmith Avenue from Landport.
- Things to do:
- Visit the Church. It's Big and Old (date to follow)
- Watch football at the Pompey FC ground

- Parking:
- You'll be lucky. Take the train. The
Fratton area is mainly residents only parking, B&Q and the other outlets have now
imposed a 2 hour max limit on the car parks, and the Portsmouth Ground car
park fills up very quickly.
