North End

North End has little to no industry, it was mainly the original shopping centre for Portsea. Now a reminder of what was once a great place to get all your supplies from. A few of the original themed shop's are still available.

Remember walking in to a shop and buying your coffee Beans?

Collecting Coke (No not the drink) from the street's and selling it?

Or simply getting a bag of ginger spice for your bread mix?

Nowadays you buy it all from Tesco or Safeway's in jar's etc. OK so it hasn't been at sea for 3 month's but just how old is it? today no one knows!

The area includes:
1 and a half miles of shops of all age's.
The Majestic Snooker Hall.
access:
A3

Things to do:
Shop.
Snooker at the Majestic.
Shop till you drop.
Visit some of the original buildings still standing today.

Parking:
Park at your own risk on street.
Safeway's have parking behind the store.
There are also a number of small free car parks behind the shops.

The George Hotel

What a life.! View along North End shops.

These pictures are no more than 60 years old, look at the area now, it take's longer to drive from one end to the other than you could walk it in.
